Your Family Deserves

To Know WTF They're Eating

At Wells Trust Farm, we raise 100% premium Black Angus beef with a focus on quality you can trust. Our cattle are fed clean, nutritious diets—no junk, just what’s best for exceptional marbling, tenderness, and flavor. We use antibiotics only when necessary and follow transparent, verifiable practices. With us, you get peace of mind and unbeatable taste.

What's Behind WTF?

Wells Trust Farm (yes, we know what our initials spell!) was founded by AJ and Stephanie Wells with a simple mission: to provide families with beef they can trust, raised by people who care, without the "WTF moments" at the grocery store. After generations of farming heritage, we've seen the disconnect between consumers and their food sources grow wider. That's why we created a direct-to-consumer model that eliminates the middleman and the mystery. When you know your farmer, you know your food.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does WTF stand for?

WTF stands for Wells Trust Farm. Yes, we know what else those initials spell! It's actually a perfect reminder of our mission—eliminating those "WTF moments" you might have at the grocery store meat counter when you don't know where your beef comes from or how it was raised.

How is your beef different from grocery store beef?

Unlike commercial operations, our Black Angus cattle are raised with transparent practices and never fed questionable ingredients (no "leftover Cheetos or Lucky Charms" here). We focus on clean feed, minimal antibiotic use (only when absolutely necessary), and proper raising techniques that result in superior taste, tenderness, and nutrition.

Do I need a large freezer to order from you?

It depends on what you order. Our sampler boxes can fit in a standard freezer, while quarter, half, or whole beef shares will require dedicated freezer space. Don't have enough room? We offer freezer packages that include both beef and the freezer to store it!

How does ordering and delivery work?

Simply place your order through our website, select your preferred beef option, and choose either pickup or delivery. For beef shares, we'll contact you with cutting instructions before processing. We deliver directly to your door within our service area, or you can pick up from our farm.

Is buying in bulk really worth it?

Absolutely! When you purchase a beef share, you're getting premium Black Angus beef at a significant discount compared to retail pricing—often saving 30-40% across all cuts. Plus, you gain food security by having quality protein on hand and knowing exactly where your meat comes from.

How long will my beef last in the freezer?

Properly packaged and stored in a good freezer, your beef can maintain excellent quality for 10-12 months. Ground beef stays at peak quality for about 4-6 months, while premium steaks can last up to a year without significant quality loss.

Do you use hormones or antibiotics?

We never use growth hormones in our cattle. For antibiotics, we follow a minimal-use approach—only administering them when medically necessary to treat a specific health issue. This ensures the welfare of our animals while maintaining the cleanest possible beef for your family.

How do I know I can trust your farming practices?

Transparency is one of our core values. We openly share our raising and feeding practices, and customers are welcome to schedule a farm visit to see our operation firsthand. We're real farm people raising real food for our own families too—we wouldn't sell anything we wouldn't eat ourselves.
